Things are going from bad to worse for the Brown family. Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
She had been staying at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with her mother. The 19-year-old was said to be suffering from anxiety.
Bobbi Kristina Brown was taken at 10:26 a.m. PST / 1:26 p.m. EST to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She was said to be “awake and alert” at the time.
In the hours just after Whitney Houston was discovered not breathing in her bathtub at the hotel, Bobbi Kristina was turned away from seeing her.
She reportedly got into a shouting match with police outside her mother’s fourth floor hotel room when they told her no one was allowed to enter. She began swearing and demanded to see her mother, but was eventually turned away.
Houston’s cousin Dionne Warwick was also turned away by police.
Bobbi Kristina was more than just close to her mother…she basically had become her caretaker as Houston struggled with addiction.
“Bobbi Kristina basically grew up her mother’s caretaker, similar to Frances Bean,” said Ian Drew, senior editor at Us Weekly, comparing her to the troubled daughter of singers Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
“In a way she was the adult in relationship,” Drew said.
Brown also struggled with addiction and together, he and Houston, “enabled” one another, Drew added.
Houston finally divorced Brown, 43, in 2007 and entered rehab last year.
