A Florida radio legend has died.

Bo Griffin, who was often known as “Bo The Party Animal” back in the 1980s, died on Tuesday after a battle with intestinal cancer. She was 51 years of age.

Griffin helped turn Power 96′s Mindy and Bo Morning Show into one of the hottest morning radio shows in South Florida. She had also been on Hot 105 and served as entertainment reporter for a local teleivison station.

Power 96 on-air personality DJ Laz said Bo will be missed.

“The world has lost an amazing talent today. Bo, you were my friend, my co-worker and my mentor for many years. You inspired everyone that was fortunate enough to hear your voice. May you rest in peace. God bless.”

Griffin was diagnosed with cancer in January complaining of back pain.
