Eric Hamm and Sean Platt at Blogopolis have finally released their awesome intro to blogging called:

Blogopolis Blueprint

The Blogopolis Blueprint is meant for those of you who may be thinking about starting your own blog, or who might have just recently started one and perhaps you’re having trouble finding your direction and monetizing it.

It really is not meant for anyone with advanced knowledge of blogging, but rather Sean and Eric have written it with the new blogger in mind.

This e-book focuses on several topics that will be of particular interest to brand new bloggers:

A history of blogging
Features of Blogs
Getting Started – some general tips on getting going with blogging
Comments – tips on leaving them on other blogs and hosting them on your own
Blogging with a Buddy/Collaborative blogging (something Eric and Sean do very well)

Secrets of Success – keys to remember as you blog

The actual teaching portion of Blogopolis Blueprint is about 46 pages long and is a very solid “intro to blogging” course.

In addition, you also get two other components:

1. WordPress Quick Start Guide – A useful 24-page guide to getting started with an introduction to platforms, suggestions on finding your niche, hosting plans and domain names, a guide to choosing your blogging platform, some suggestions on getting the perfect theme for your blog and suggestions on key plug-ins. TRUST ME: Having the correct WordPress plug-ins can either make or break your blog. I use WordPress religiously and plug-ins are a must-have!

2. The Blueprint Workbook – The workbook portion of Blogopolis Blueprint is designed to help you take the knowledge that you have gained from the other parts of the Blueprint and apply it. This workbook gives you practical ways to solidify what you’re learning AS YOU GO.

Remember, Blogopolis Blueprint is for beginning bloggers. If you want to start your own blog but don’t have a clue as to how to get started, this book will be your new best friend.
