Blake Griffin believes he can fly. No, actually, he KNOWS he can fly as he was the winner of the NBA’s 2011 Slam Dunk Contest last night.
Complete with a gospel choir singing “I Believe I Can Fly”, the Los Angeles Clippers star leaped over a car and jammed a masterful two-handed dunk.
Blake Griffin cleared the hood of the 2011 Kia Optima with room to spare, catching a pass from teammate Baron Davis out of the sunroof while the Crenshaw Select Choir cheered him on as he emerged victorious in the 26th annual slam dunk contest.
“There’s a little pressure on us to really put on a show, but I thought those guys all did a great job,” said Griffin, who beat Javale McGee of the Washington Wizards in the final. Video below.
