Police in Tampa have confirmed that Billy Mays is dead. The TV salesman known for promoting things like Orange Glo and OxiClean has died at the age of fifty.
Authorities say Billy Mays was pronounced dead on Sunday morning after being found in his home by his wife. There were no signs of foul play. The coroner’s office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.
Mays was also seen on the reality TV series “Pitchmen” on Discovery Channel, which followed Mays and Anthony Sullivan while on the job.
Discovery Channel spokeswoman Elizabeth Hillman released a statement Sunday extending sympathy to the Mays family.
