ABC News correspondent Bianna Golodryga is getting hitched. She announced on Tuesday morning’s edition of Good Morning America that she is engaged to Peter Orszag, budget director for the Obama administration. The two met back in May at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
Golodryga joked on GMA that her husband-to-be is “tall, dark and he could say Golodryga and spell it after our first date. That is a winner in my book.”
Orszag proposed to her during a romantic lunch for two at Sarabeth’s restaurant in New York City on Monday.
Before working for the Obama administration, Orszag served as director of the Congressional Budget Office. He was also an economic adviser for former president Bill Clinton. He has two children from a previous marriage.
The happy couple is planning to get married in October 2010.
