Beyonce is back from a year-long vacation. Her brand, new video for “Run the World (Girls)” debuted last night on American Idol.
The new video was filmed by “Water for Elephants” director Francis Lawrence over the course of three days in Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert. It features over 200 dancers and exotic animals.
“Run the World (Girls)” is the first single off of Beyonce’s fourth solo album, “4″, which is due out from Columbia Records on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.
After a year off, this song sounds surprisingly average, but I’m sure it will be a chart-topper either way.
