It turns out Beyonce is a typical “diva” after all. The former Destiny’s Child star reportedly had Lindsay Lohan booted from her own dressing room because she wanted it for herself. Nice.
Beyonce was performing at the F1 Rocks concert in Singapore this past weekend and had told her minions to find her the biggest dressing area backstage and reserve it for her.
It seems that Lindsay Lohan, who was hosting the event for a British television network, had the unfortunate luck of already claiming the room. She had gotten there early and was quite when she was informed that she would have to turn it over to Beyonce.
Lohan was quoted as saying “I’ve been a bit down. It was a strange night. Everyone was being aggressive and bothering me. I really didn’t like it.”
Beyonce’s diva-like behavior didn’t end there. Prior to the show, she wouldn’t let the other performers use her air conditioning, even though temperatures backstage approached 90 degrees.
It was quite hot and people were literally passing out, but Beyonce’s crew still refused to switch on her personal air cooling fans as they were “just for her.”
British DJ Seb Fontaine suffered heatstroke at the event. He told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper:
“We were told, ‘No they are Beyonce’s fans.’ I wasn’t asking to play her drum kit on stage. I just wanted to keep cool.”
In her 139-page rider (are you kidding me?), Beyonce also demanded six beauty chambers, exercise equipment, a fruit platter and tea & honey.
Also performing at the big event at Fort Canning Park were the Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani.
