Avenged Sevenfold Drummer, "The Rev" Jimmy Sullivan, Found Dead

Jimmy Sullivan (full name: James Owen Sullivan), A.K.A. “The Rev” and “The Reverend Tholomew Plague“, drummer for the band Avenged Sevenfold, was found dead Monday at his home in Southern California.

Sullivan, 28, appears to have died of “natural causes,” according to a police official. An autopsy is pending.

The Rev helped to found the band in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Leana MacFadden.

Avenged Sevenfold has released four studio albums over the past decade and was working on its fifth at the time of Sullivan’s death.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.
