There are reports circulating on Twitter that Auction.com domain name may have sold for $2.5 million.
A quick analysis of the current whois record and the whois record from 2-days ago reveals that the domain name is indeed under new management.
An entirely new website also seems to be up with the domain redirecting to REDC, a company that specializes in foreclosure auctions. Until now, they have been using USHomeAuction.com.
We will try to obtain confirmation on this transaction. Either way, it looks like a lot of cash has changed hands.
