It seems that within hours of AT&T blocking 4chan, the site’s members had launched their attack on AT&T, including starting a rumor about the (fake) death of AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson geared to lower the company’s stock price.
AT&T confirmed the partial block, stating that the company was “following the practices of their policy department.”
Now, however, AT&T customers are reporting that 4chan is now unblocked. What’s ironic is that 4chan is currently suffering from a massive DDOS attack that’s taken the site down – in what would seem to be a cruel coincidence.
Let’s hope this is the end of the hostilities between these two entities, for everyone’s sake.
