I Want to Believe

In what may be one of the most intriguing developments since the WikiLeaks drama began, founder Julian Assange has claimed that a new collection of diplomatic cables set to be published by the controversial website will contain new details on the possible existence of UFOs.

Assange has said that there will be references to extraterrestrial life in the as-yet-unpublished confidential files obtained from the American government.

He did not reveal exactly what information was contained in the diplomatic cables and did not give any indication of when they might be published.

Assange also said that his website frequently gets emails from “weirdos” claiming to have seen UFOs.

“Many weirdos email us about UFOs or how they discovered that they were the anti-christ whilst talking with their ex-wife at a garden party over a pot-plant,” he was quoted as saying, when asked if any of the confidential documents referred to extraterrestrial life.

“However, as yet they have not satisfied two of our publishing rules. 1) that the documents not be self-authored; 2) that they be original.

“It is worth noting that in yet-to-be-published parts of the cablegate archive there are indeed references to UFOs,” he added.

Some are claiming that these new cables will provide answers to claims from American military pilots that aliens have indeed landed on Earth, infiltrated nuclear missile sites, and deactivated the weapons.

So is this just more hype on the part of WikiLeaks or is the truth really out there?
