Comedian Artie Lange has been released from the hospital following his suicide attempt this past Saturday. Lange reportedly tried to stab himself nine times and was rushed to a medical facility.
New Jersey police report that the Howard Stern sidekick had underwent surgery for self-inflicted stab wounds to the abdomen. He says Lange, 42, was taken to the hospital on Saturday after his mother found him on the floor of his home.
Lange’s publicist has declined to comment on the situation and asked that his client’s privacy be respected.
Stern and Robin Quivers said on their show on Thursday that their thoughts and prayers are with Artie Lange and his family.
