Around the World in 6237 PhotosThis stunning time-lapse video takes you around the world, getting a first-hand look at one man’s practically year-long adventure across 17 countries.

In the footage below, you’ll see 6,237 pictures that will make you want to pack your bags and hop on the next plane out of town.

Taking his trusty Panasonic Lumix GF-1 camera, San Francisco-based Kien Lam quit his job, bought a plane ticket to London, and spent the next 343 days travelling the world snapping photos along the way.

Lam returned from his trek and created the following 290-second video, which was edited in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, and Final Cut Pro.

“To capture the spirit of the trip, I took time-lapse photographs at practically every city I traveled to,” he told Mashable. “Each two-second scene is comprised of about 40 to 60 photographs.”

Music from his brother William Lam complements the visuals in the clip. Check out Kien’s travel blog to learn more.
