Google is giving you a chance to prove what a big dummy you are. In fact, if you’re a big enough dummy, you could score $1,000.
Google has just announced their Knol for Dummies.com contest. On the new Dummies.com site, that same expert how-to content is available in video, photo step-by-steps, articles, and author blogs.
Knols are articles written by people who are knowledgeable about specific subjects. Anyone can write one; there are templates to show you how to easily get started. You can embed media to better illustrate a topic, provide information about yourself to build your credibility, and collaborate with others to improve your knol over time.
Google is now providing you with the opportunity to have your knol featured on Dummies.com. To enter, you just head on over to the official contest page, create your knol about a subject you are familiar with, and the contest judges will select five finalists who will be entered to have their knols featured on the Dummies.com site. To top it off, the best entry will be awarded a $1,000 grand prize.
Check out the contest microsite for the Official Rules and more details. Entries will be accepted through March 23, 2009.
So, what are you waiting for? Start writing, you big dummy!
