A home video that shows Anna Nicole Smith wearing clown make-up and appearing to think that a child’s doll is her unborn child, was just the former playmate playing up to the camera, according to a defense lawyer for Howard K. Stern.
Prosecutors showed the video during a preliminary hearing last week to prove that Stern and two doctors tried to keep Smith in a “drug stupor” in the two years prior to her death.
In what’s being called the “clown video,” a 9-year-old girl is unsure whether Smith is goofing around with her or is really having “brain trouble.”
Either way, the footage is disturbing given that Smith dies of “acute combined drug intoxication” about six months later.
Stern made the 45-minute video at Smith’s home in The Bahamas on August 12, 2006, at a birthday bash for Riley Shelley, the daughter of a friend, according to court testimony.
