Angry BirdsAngry Birds‘ quest to dominate every platform available just gained a little more traction.  Hot on the heels of releasing a version of the mega-popular game for Google’s Chrome browser, Rovio has announced that the game is also now available for Windows…no browser required.

Rovio is selling two versions of Angry Birds for Windows, the original as well as Angry Birds Rio. Each costs $4.95 or you can download a free demo version if you just want to check it out.

The games run on the Windows XP SP2 OS or a newer version of Microsoft’s OS.

Rovio also plans to release Angry Birds Seasons sometime in the near future, but they haven’t announced an exact release date.

Angry Birds debuted in the iPhone App Store in December 2009. Users have downloaded the game more than 200 million times!
