The U.S. Geological Survey has reported a massive 7.6 magnitude earthquake in the Indian Ocean, about 160 miles north of Port Blair in India's Andaman Islands. A tsunami watch is now in effect for India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh.
The Andaman Islands earthquake is said to have occurred about 20.6 miles deep, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake hit about 225 miles south-southwest of Myanmar, 510 miles west of Bangkok, and 1,420 miles southeast of New Delhi, according to the USGS.
