Amazon has finally announced a release date for the new Kindle DX.
It will ship in nine days on June 10. In a brief announcement, Amazon said that the new, larger e-book reader will ship on that date with orders prioritized on a first come, first served basis.
Amazon hopes that the Kindle DX will salvage the declining newspaper industry and also stimulate the the college textbook market. It currently sells for $489.
