The Wolverines gave him too much room. They all but begged Evan Turner to win the game for Ohio State in the final seconds, allowing one of the best overall players in the league get his hands on the basketball with just 2.1 seconds left in the game.
Turner was more than happy to oblige, nailing a miraculous three-pointer to win the quaterfinal game for Ohio State.
“The whole game, they were swarming me. They gave me one good look,” Turner said after the game. One good look is all he really needed, making the basket from about 37 feet out.
“I always had the confidence it was going to go in,” added Turner. “If I’m going to try to make a play, they don’t go in without confidence.”
