We’re trying to confirm the details but, understandably, you can’t get through to Alaska right now and all webcams are down.  This is a continuation of the updates from this post.

The Alaska volcano webcam on Mount Redoubt is down at the moment but based on the photos that are being displayed on the site, we must assume that the volcano has erupted.  No Twitter updates have rolled in from the volcano team since this one sent earlier.

Note the temperature in the second photo. If we assume that this is showing the temp in degrees Celsius, than that would be equivalent to 176 degrees Fahrenheit!  This must be an indication that something has definitely happened.  Photos are below as well…

UPDATE: The Alaska volcano team just sent another update via Twitter.  See photo below.  I’m puzzled. Aren’t these guys seeing what we were seeing on the webcam??…
