Al Qaida BountyA Somali Islamist militant group loosely affiliated with Al-Qaida is offering up a bounty of chickens and camels for info on the whereabouts of President Barack Obama and secretary of state Hillary Clinton, clearly mocking the millions of dollars the U.S. has offered for leaders of the group.

Fuad Muhammad Khalaf of the Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement in Somalia made the offer over the weekend, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors militant organizations.

“Whoever reveals the hideout of the idiot Obama will be rewarded with 10 camels , and whoever reveals the hideout of the old woman Hillary Clinton will be rewarded 10 chickens and 10 roosters,” Khalaf said, according to SITE Intelligence group.

“There is nothing new in the fact that infidels pay to have Muslim leaders killed. They already did that by offering camels for the head of Prophet Mohammed, and five million dollars is equivalent to 200 camels today,” Khalaf said. He was referring to a passage in the Quran in which camels were offered for the Prophet Mohammed as he fled Mecca for Medina. “I can assure you that these kind of things will never dissuade us from continuing the holy war against them,” he added.

Last week, the U.S. Department of State offered a reward of $5 million each for the whereabouts of Khalaf and three of his associates, as well as $7 million for information about al Shabaab founder and commander Ahmed Abdi aw-Mohamed.

A $3 million bounty was offered for the location of two other officials within the organization.

Al-Qaida said back in February that the al Shabaab group, which was branded a terrorist organization by the U.S. government in 2008, had joined its ranks.

Al Shabaab, which has controlled parts of Somalia, faces pressure from Kenyan troops in the south, Ethiopian troops in central Somalia, and African Union forces near Mogadishu.

In a statement, the Somali government said the rewards would help crush the Al-Qaida affiliate, a report said.
