google adwordsGoogle has now added a separate campaign-level option that will allow you to advertise on the iPhone and G1 Android phones as well as other mobile devices that have full HTML internet browsers.

This new option will now allow you to display your ads specifically on these devices, create exclusive campaigns for them, and get separate performance reporting.

G1 and iPhone ads have many of the same advantages as Adwords’ regular mobile-format ads, such as allowing you to deliver specific calls-to-action and reaching your audience when they’re out and about. Users are performing a ton of searches on these devices, and these searches are only going to increase throughout the holidays. Last Christmas, for example, the iPhone drove more traffic to Google.com than any other mobile device.

In using all full HTML browser devices, the links in your ads can continue to point to regular websites and still work in a mobile environment. You can also run one campaign across the both the web and advanced mobile phones and see where you get the best response.
