It looks like Adrienne Bailon's PR people understand how to create a nice viral buzz.
As you may recall, the former Cheetah Girl really did have her laptop stolen last month, but her PR folks took the opportunity to spice up her image a little bit.
Her ex PR representative, Jonathon Jaxson, had this to say:
“Adrienne’s tour with Cheetah Girls will be over December 22nd, so she is then free to pursue other projects and wanted to be seen as more adult and sexy. So after the laptop was stolen we used it as an opportunity to drum up some publicity and start speculating about nude photos, but we never expected anything to get out.
“Adrienne and her boyfriend (Kim Kardashian’s younger brother Robert Kardashian) swear they didn’t leak them, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Adrienne did. It’s either her or someone very close to her. Things are pretty ugly, what should have been an image boost has really turned around and bitten her in the butt.”
...and what a butt it is!
Initially it was reported that Adrienne's laptop had been stolen at JFK airport and that she was then at the center of an elaborate extortion plot.
Her record label received an anonymous phone call from a man saying he had her laptop and would return it in exchange for $1,000 (pretty cheap by today's standards if you ask me). The payment was made, and the laptop returned, but missing were several nude pics Bailon had taken as an anniversary present for Robert Kardashian.
Regardless of how it happened, the photos are now circulating and taking the internet by storm.
Rumor has it, Playboy has even offered Adrienne Bailon $100,000 to be in their mag. The company says the photos will be “stylish.” Suuuure, they will.
