Look, you may not agree with Chick-Fil-A‘s values, but that doesn’t give you license to be a total d-bag to whomever you like.
Adam Smith found that out the hard way.
The Tucson resident made a video of himself ordering “free water” and just generally harassing a very patient and polite Chick-Fil-A drive-thru employee named Rachel.
Now that the video has gone viral, his employer has fired him.
Smith has been fired from his post as CFO at Vante, a Tucson, Arizona medical manufacturing company.
“I don’t know how you live with yourself and work here,” Smith says to Rachel, who maintains her composure throughout the ordeal. “I don’t understand it.”
“Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A,” the company said in a prepared statement. “Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company.
“We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith’s actions against Vante and its employees,” the statement continued.
