Adam Lambert Says Clay Aiken Can “Ride My Coattails”

Adam Lambert has now responded to Clay Aiken's snide comments from the other day.

“I don’t know Clay,” Lambert told Access Hollywood. “I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before. If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him.”

Aiken got Lambert fans a bit fired up last week, saying that “Adam Lambert was singing ‘Ring of Fire’ and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening!”

Despite losing the "rigged" American Idol voting this past season, Adam Lambert is doing quite well and is possibly even being considered as the new lead singer for the band Queen.
