What if we could do something really practical with all the used cardboard in the world?
Well, bike enthusiast Izhar Gafni has actually built a functioning bicycle out of nothing but cardboard. The inspiration for his idea came from a another inventor’s cardboard canoe.
Gafni has managed to construct a working bicycle that costs just $9 to make.
The bike went through an incredible amount of testing and tweaking. The finished product is dipped in a coating material that gives it a shiny outer shell and protects it from bad weather.
The bike could one day make its way into the hands of consumers around the world.
