A gigantic shark has been caught off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, Florida…and the whole thing was caught on video.
On Sunday, some friends went fishing approximately 18 miles off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale when they happened upon a 10-foot-long, 750-pound shark eating a swordfish.
Jamie Bunn, who managed to tape the event, looked on while his friends attempted to reel in the beast.
“I vividly remember the quote, ‘We might as well get this thing. Someone’s dying today,’” Bunn said.
It wasn’t easy catching the shark. They tried luring her closer to the boat using the dead swordfish.
It’s also apparent that they weren’t taking the shark lightly. In the video, one of them exclaims, “I’m afraid to lean over. If I fall over, I’m dead.”
Finally, the fishermen nabbed it and took it home. On the scale back at their marina, the shark weighed in at close to 750 pounds (actually 748 pounds).
This is sure to be one fish story these friends will never forget.
