A 6-legged lamb has been born in a tiny village in the republic of Georgia and it’s turning quite a few heads.
The 6-legged lamb was born in the village of Velistsikhe. It has four legs in the front and two in the back.
The lamb seems to have at least partial control of each leg.
The lamb also appears to be a hermaphrodite, with both male and female reproductive organs.
Shepherd Albert Abadzhanov says the little lamb is having some trouble walking, but appears to be developing normally otherwise.
In his 25 years of shepherding, he says he’s never seen anything quite like this.
“I have been asking the other shepherds, but none of them remember such [a] case. There were three-legged lambs, one-eyed, but not [a] six legged, bisexual one,” Abadzhanov said.
Veterinarian Otto Zardiashvili says the 6-legged lamb is an anomaly.
“Most probably there were twins, but then the embryos were united, and we’ve got a strange lamb,” he said.
